InstantClear™ is Chordal's licensing technology for fractionally owned commercial songs. You opt in your share of a song for a program built around one buyer or cohort's use case. Once every master and publishing share is cleared, licensing inside that program is instant, and every owner is paid from one license.
Joining is free, and there's no cost if nothing licenses. Chordal takes a share of each completed InstantClear license it facilitates: 15% on Community, 13% on Starter, 11% on Pro, 9% on Advanced, and negotiated on Enterprise. See Pricing for plan details.
No. You choose which programs to join and which songs to opt in to each one. You can take songs out of a program too. Ongoing rights changes are automatically managed on Chordal.
A song licenses in a program only when every share is opted in. If a co-owner isn't on Chordal yet, we have multiple ways to fill the gaps.
Payment terms are set out in each program's terms, which you see before you join. Every license is reported to you with your share.
